Pastry Chef

Visa sponsorship

Hospitality · Queenstown, New Zealand · Full-Time · $25/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored

Croissants and Danish pastries made from scratch are at the centre of this Pastry Chef role in Queenstown. You would join an experienced bakery team and take laminated dough from mixing and resting through shaping, proofing and baking, then move on to tarts, pies, choux and filled pastries.

Consistency is everything, from the right fermentation and correct proofing times and temperatures to the same weight and finish on every piece, even in high-volume production. Early mornings, weekends and rotating shifts come with the job. Employer sponsorship is available for eligible overseas candidates who meet applicable requirements. If you have worked in a UK artisan bakery, your lamination skills could fit well here.

Use your CV to name the viennoiserie and pastry ranges you have made, the production volumes and any baking qualification. Roll out a laminated pastry CV for Queenstown on Build AI CV before you apply.
