A busy country hotel pub in New South Wales is recruiting a full-time Senior Cook / Chef. You will need proper experience on pan, grill and cold larder, and the confidence to support the Head Chef while organising the junior brigade on shift.
Rotas cover days, nights and weekends. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate. Applicants must be already living in Australia and able to come in for a trial.

Key Responsibilities
- Get dishes prepped, cooked and plated exactly as the menu spec and house recipes set out
- Work to the Head Chef's standards on every service
- Keep on top of what is in the fridges and dry store
- Make sure as little food as possible ends up in the bin
- Walk junior cooks through techniques and put them right on method
- Organise the kitchen porters and apprentices on your shift
- Leave the kitchen and stores spotless and hygienic, meeting food hygiene law
- Give a hand booking in deliveries, checking they are up to standard and put away properly
- Cater for guests on special diets and chip in when the menu is being written
- Stick to food handling and hygiene procedures and flag any incident with the Head Chef
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 5 years spent working pan and grill, hands-on
- Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery
- Skills assessment as a cook or chef
- Based in Australia now
- Free to come in for a trial
- Flexible and happy to work days, nights and weekends
- A strong team player and communicator
