Tyres, brakes and clutches are the core of this full-time Sydney job, so it suits someone who already knows their way around a wheel balancer and a brake lathe. A long-running automotive aftermarket business in New South Wales needs a Tyre Fitter and Mechanic.
Alongside fitting tyres, wheel alignments and brake and clutch work, you would machine discs, drums and flywheels, receive and store stock, help the sales team and sometimes do deliveries. Key Responsibilities
- Fit tyres and carry out wheel alignments
- Service and repair brakes and clutches, machining discs, drums and flywheels to standard
- Receive, check, store and dispatch aftermarket products, keeping tyres, brakes, clutches and parts in the right place
- Support the sales team day to day and help with deliveries when needed
- Keep the workshop and storage areas organised, follow safety procedures and work independently while staying in touch with the team
Requirements & Eligibility
- A minimum of 1 year in relevant automotive or mechanical work
- Hands-on aftermarket experience you can demonstrate
- Working knowledge of tyres, brakes, clutches and related parts
- Wheel alignment experience is highly regarded
- Comfortable working on your own and following instructions exactly
- Attention to detail and pride in quality work
- A positive, dependable and professional attitude, communicating well and working as a team
- Current driver's licence
- Holding an Australian mechanical licence is an advantage but not mandatory
- A genuine, verifiable employment history
- Must have Australian work rights or be eligible for employer sponsorship
- Ready to commit to a long-term position in Australia
