Fancy serving modern Asian food beside a restaurant aquarium? A stylish, well-known spot in central Christchurch needs four experienced Waiter hires who give standout service and follow its own way of selling food and drinks at the table.
Staff are encouraged to let their personality show and enjoy the shift while reading what each guest needs. The post is permanent and full time at 30 hours a week or more, and you must be free for evenings, weekends and the busy summer season. Approved as an accredited employer, the restaurant can help with visa sponsorship through the immigration process if required.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and talk them through the menu and what is on offer, promoting dishes and drinks in line with house policy
- Join regular in-house training on food, drinks and service, and finish the training modules
- Take orders, put them through the POS and carry them out to tables
- Clear and relay tables and keep the dining room tidy
- Take card and cash payments
- Keep to NZ liquor laws, talking with managers and guests so licensing rules are met
Requirements & Eligibility
- Six months or more in a similar job, or a Level 2 or 3 Diploma qualification (at least one of these)
- Good knowledge of NZ liquor laws
- Free to work nights, weekends and through the busy summer months
- Keen to work hard
- Ready to learn the restaurant's menu, offerings and service standards
