Workshop Technician

Visa sponsorship

Manufacturing · Auckland, New Zealand · Full-Time · $50,000/yr · Visa: Employer sponsored

This is far more than minding a machine. The Workshop Technician job in Auckland mixes CNC operation with fitting, assembly, fabrication and coordinating the jobs themselves. An engineering and metal fabrication employer wants a practical all-rounder who owns production work and gets it out accurate and on time.

You would read engineering drawings and job specs to work out materials, tolerances and assembly, set job priorities, run CNC and fabrication machinery and do basic MIG and TIG welding where needed. Measuring finished parts, spotting fabrication issues before dispatch, preparing components and fasteners for site teams and occasionally helping with installation are part of it too. Employer-supported visa sponsorship may be available for eligible applicants.

On your CV, list the CNC machines you have operated, your fitting and fabrication work and the jobs you coordinated from drawing to dispatch. Write a CNC fitter and fabricator CV with Build AI CV to bring the mix together.
