Engineering · Wellington, New Zealand · Full-Time · $38.25 - $45.06/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored
Swapping the UK winter for Wellington could suit an engineer who already knows trains. A rolling stock manufacturer with a global footprint, which looks after the city's electric commuter fleet, is recruiting several Maintenance Mechanical Engineers on permanent, full-time contracts in Wellington, New Zealand.
Expect to spend your shifts tracking down faults, servicing electric multiple units and passenger carriages, carrying out repairs and getting units moving again after incidents. Safety sits at the centre of the operation. The rota is shift-based and adds up to at least 40 hours a week. A practical grounding in mechanical, automotive, electrical, industrial or rail engineering is what the role calls for.
Applicants from overseas are welcome. As an Accredited Employer, the business offers visa sponsorship support through the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) to the right candidates with rolling stock experience.
