Big civil, marine and recreational builds are taking shape across Western Australia, and a Perth-based construction team wants a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to help deliver them. Engineers here are trusted to own their part of the job.
You would run daily site activities, coordinate subcontractors and specialist trades, manage interfaces between civil, marine, structural and public realm works and oversee piling, fenders, revetments, drainage and landscaping. Scheduling, cost control, ITPs, HIRACs and stakeholder reporting are all part of it, and you would mentor junior engineers. For suitably qualified international professionals, work sponsorship is available.

Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of assigned construction activities and project outcomes
- Manage day-to-day site activities and track construction progress
- Coordinate the interfaces between civil, marine, structural and public realm works
- Direct subcontractors, suppliers and specialist trades
- Oversee piling, fender systems, revetments, drainage, landscaping and other civil works
- Support programming, scheduling and cost control
- Review construction requirements, develop practical solutions and look for better constructability and efficiency
- Keep quality documentation such as ITPs, HIRACs and inspection records, and monitor safety, quality and environmental compliance
- Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders and report progress accurately
- Mentor graduate and junior engineers
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or another recognised equivalent qualification
- For Project Engineer level: 2–4 years of civil or marine construction experience
- For Senior Project Engineer positions: relevant senior-level construction and project delivery experience
- Site-based engineering experience is preferred
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and construction teams
- Understanding of project scheduling, cost management and quality assurance
- Strong stakeholder management and communication
- Well organised with good documentation habits
- Able to interpret construction requirements and solve practical problems on site
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Proactive, takes ownership and works well in multidisciplinary construction teams
- Genuine interest in major infrastructure and community-focused projects
