High-rise structures are where this role lives. An established contractor in Sydney wants a full-time Project Engineer with real formwork and concrete experience to help deliver major building projects, from coordinating subcontractors and suppliers to keeping the programme on track.
Day to day you would review drawings and specifications, resolve technical questions between consultants, engineers and subcontractors, help plan and sequence the works, and support contract administration and reporting. Spotting problems early and checking quality against project requirements is part of it too. Candidates with relevant international construction experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering and construction on large building projects each day, keeping communication flowing between site and stakeholders
- Plan and monitor formwork and concrete structure works, working with subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to keep things moving
- Review drawings, specifications and engineering documents, and resolve technical issues among consultants, engineers and subcontractors
- Help develop the programme, sequence and construction plan, and track progress against schedules and milestones
- Support contract administration and project reporting, and keep project records and progress reports up to date
- Raise construction issues early, help find practical technical solutions, check quality against project requirements and support senior staff to finish the works safely, efficiently and on time
Requirements & Eligibility
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Construction Management
- 2–5+ years of relevant post-graduate construction experience
- Proven experience with formwork and concrete structures on high-rise, commercial or large-scale building projects
- Background working for a construction subcontractor
- Working knowledge of construction programming and sequencing
- Contract administration experience and strong skills in coordinating and managing subcontractors
- Sound technical ability with good communication and organisational skills
- Qualifications and professional experience you can demonstrate and verify
- Relevant overseas construction experience is welcomed
- Able to meet Australian employment and sponsorship requirements
